What’s Your Seed

In a time such as COVID-19, it’s easy to perceive all the wrong things going on around us, but how simple can it also be to think about Godly things instead? Whether you’re tuning in to the news, browsing on social media or engaging in conversation with someone, you still may hear something negative or a topic of discussion that is not likely God type of faith. Who and what are you listening to? Now is the time more than ever to fuel your tank with generosity, positivity and God’s Word. I believe it all goes hand in hand. The Word of God says God loves a cheerful heart.

Every man according as he purposeth (sets in his heart), so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7 KJV

How would it look if, on your birthday, your parents or your best friend gave you a gift, but they did it with an attitude versus handing off your gift with love, hugs and smiles? You would prefer being shown love, right? LOVE and XOXO (hugs and kisses), that’s what God seeks from you to share with others, Godly kisses that is (Laughing Out Loud)! 😊

During COVID-19, there are students and families that we are surrounded by that need a little extra TLC (Tender, Loving, Care)! I know you all have been quarantined in the house but there are so many platforms you can use to show and tell God’s love.

How many of you all remember having “show and tell” at school? Show and tell was a time to present and share with your classmates what excited you the most about your favorite toy, food, book, movie, etc.? Use this time during COVID-19 to show and tell the world about God’s goodness! It’s time to show God off! You have an opportunity to boast and brag about your GOOD, GOOD Father! Mediate on the fruits of Christ and hear what the Holy Spirit will speak to you as you make a decision to sow a seed in love, generosity, peace, and kindness. God gives you help through the Holy Spirit to share and express such amazing qualities with others.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23 ESV

This is the perfect time to sow a seed. Seek God during this time of fasting, and say, “Lord, what type of seed will you have me to sow? Is it time? Is it money?” Do you have a gift or talent? Do you sing, rap, dance, tell jokes, write, or draw? All of these are seeds that can be sown.

Use the EPIC social media platforms to reach other students that need the same encouragement as you do during this time. Bless somebody else’s socks off with laughter and a good ol’ faithy word (Laughing Out Loud)!  😊

If you are a student that has been blessed to be able to work during this time or receive an allowance, seek God on the amount that he will have you to sow. We are taught and encouraged to “keep seed in the ground.” Right Direction Church International has rich soil and is great ground to sow a seed and watch it grow, far more than you can ever ask or imagine! I have faith to believe that you will always be provided with more than enough to meet your needs and someone else’s! Remember it’s more blessed to give than to receive.

But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. Acts 20:24

Students, sharing your testimony and all that the Lord has done for you is your show and tell!

In all things I have shown you that by working hard (being faithful and obedient in what the Lord tells you to do in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He Himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35

Students, I am praying for all of you! I can’t wait to hear and see all the testimonies to come! Remember, you are a student whom the Lord has blessed, and all will see you in your turnt-upness! Ayyyyyeee! Put a seed on it (Laughing Out Loud)!

Deuteronomy 7:9 New Life Version (NLV)

Know then that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God. He keeps His promise and shows His loving-kindness to those who love Him and keep His Laws, even to a thousand family groups in the future.

 Teens, God is faithful 😊!
